The first transmission of 2026 starts with PRESEASON, released by Scottsdale-based artists Stuntman Ted and StevieTooSteezy, bringing only their best with a full album release to start the year off.

“It’s the sound of two long-time collaborators finally stepping into the professional arena. It’s not just a debut; it’s the warm-up before the takeover,” Stuntman Ted and Steezy told Out of Range; they had met as teenagers “bonded by a shared defiance of the status quo,” and this project represents the culmination of that history.

Stuntman Ted juxtaposes himself as the “sonic architect” of the group, personally crediting his own training at The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS), as what lead him to be the technical backbone of his work. The duo told Out of Range about the project’s sound and goals, which culminated into the ethos of “technical studio mastery meets the raw hunger of the street.” They feel the differences between their background can come together into something significant in regards to the project.

StevieTooSteezy, described as the “kinetic energy” of the duo, wants the listener to feel the synergy between his diverse background as a former basketball player, while also utilizing that energy into his music behind the microphone. The duo describes him as “the wildcard lyricist bringing a relentless motivation and a loud, commanding presence that defines their high-energy delivery.”

What do we think of Preseason? Well, we say form your own fucking opinions!

But since you (or I) asked - It’s a record full of quick red solo cup-type jams geared for your next kickback. It puts “crunk” back into the vernacular, and should definitely be seen as a representation of the diverse party culture we have in Arizona. But also, fuck that country shit, that’s not the red solo cup bs we are talking about.
